The Oopbuy QC finder works best when you apply one hard rule: if in doubt, reject. The economics favor ruthless rejection because the cost of a bad reject is minutes; the cost of shipping bad is dollars.
The rule stated
If any single QC photo raises any material doubt, reject. Do not negotiate with yourself. Do not talk yourself into accepting. Reject, request replacement, move on.
The four axes to inspect
- Structural. Stitching alignment, seam symmetry, panel joins.
- Print or embroidery. Sharpness, alignment, color accuracy.
- Material. Weave visible in photo; hand-feel proxy via drape.
- Finish. Trim, tags, packaging condition, edges.

What counts as doubt
- Blurry photo where you cannot judge detail — doubt.
- Color that looks off from retail reference — doubt.
- Stitching that looks slightly uneven — doubt.
- Anything you would explain away with “probably fine” — doubt.
Why ruthless works
Sellers reissue rejections without friction. The extra 3–7 days waiting for a re-QC is minor. The cost of accepting a doubtful QC and receiving a bad item halfway around the world is major — return shipping is impractical, sitting in your closet unworn is real money lost.
The three-photo minimum
Do not decide from one photo. Three photos minimum — front, detail, packaging or scale reference. If only one exists, request two more before deciding.
How to reject calmly
Sellers respond best to calmly-worded rejections. Formula: identify the axis (Structural, Print, Material, or Finish), reference the specific photo, request replacement. No apology, no drama.
What the rule prevents
Community data shows the retire-within-30-days rate drops from 14 percent (average) to under 5 percent among buyers who apply the ruthless reject rule consistently.
Integrating with the funnel
Ruthless reject is stage 3 of the filter funnel method.
